Venue: Most of the campus has the same address. To find the specific building, type in UMBC RAC in the search of your maps app. (It is the same place as last year.) UMBC Retriever Activities Center (RAC) Arena 1000 Hilltop Circle Baltimore, MD 21250
Parking Parking is free. Just follow signs once you get on campus to UMBC Retriever Activities Center (RAC) Arena. Visitor parking is available in the Administration Parking garage - right next to the RAC.
Credentials: Credentials will be issued upon arrival. Please be prepared to show your membership card (electronic version or paper copy). No pending memberships. If you have not sent a head shot selfie for your credentials, please do so ASAP! ([email protected])
Team Payments: Coach credentials will not be given until all outstanding balances are paid. We will send an email on Thursday morning to your team’s meet contact for any teams who still owe payment. Please bring a team check. No IOUs, promises to mail it later, parent X has team check book, or coach Y will bring it later. We can accept zelle, but a $1 per transaction fee applies. Please bring additional cash / team checks for meet day level changes.
ASAP: Please let the meet office/master scoring know of any meet day scratches/level changes ASAP upon arrival! In the event there is a concern with scores and or athlete levels, please let Konstantin know ASAP so this can be fixed BEFORE awards!
Hospitality: For registered coaches/judges: We will have lunch, dinner, and various snacks available to registered coaches and judges on Saturday and assorted breakfast, brunch and afternoon pizza on Sunday.
Medical - We will have EMT(s) on site. We do not have an athletic trainer.
Athletes:
Arrival: All athletes will need to check in and get a hand stamp before going to staging. We have a small token of appreciation (athlete gift) which will be given to the athlete at check-in. There will be a separate check-in for Training Only on Saturday athletes. All athletes competing on Sunday, will need to re-check-in on Sunday. Follow signs in entrance area.
Staging: Athletes need to be in staging 30-45 minutes prior to their first event. Due to space limitation in the staging area, only athletes in the current session are permitted in the staging area. If possible, we will run early. Since we will try to run early within a session, athletes should remain in staging until they are finished competing for the session.
Levels 9 and up Comp Cards: Please turn comp cards in during your assigned training.
Awards: athletes must be in competition attire for awards. Awards will be presented as soon as possible. Please listen for announcements.
Parents:
Admission Adults 17+ $15 per day / $25 Weekend pass Children 5-16 $10 per day / $15 Weekend pass Children 4 and under Free Cash (small denomination bills) are appreciated. Those not having cash, may pay via Zelle (additional $1 fee per transaction). Electronic payment information will be available on site. Parents will be given a wristband so that they may come and go as their athlete’s schedule allows. Registered athletes may show their handstamp so they can watch teammates in other sessions.
Meet Program- Meet program will be available to purchase on site at admissions and Fairland front desk.
White Socks - If your athlete forgot or lost their competition style white socks, we have competition style white socks available for a nominal charge at the Fairland front desk.
Good luck grams- A variety of options will be available to send your athlete a note of Good Luck wishes while they are in staging. These can be purchased at the Fairland front desk.
Meet Apparel- T-Shirts/Meet apparel is available for purchase on site, right inside entry doors and via the link found on the Sponsors / Vendors tab.
Concessions / Dining – We have food trucks coming to this year’s event. Additional information will be provided on site.
Flash Photography, etc. Please keep in mind, this is a USA Gymnastics sanctioned event. Flash photography / external video lighting is NOT permitted for the safety of all athletes. This includes lights and flashes on phones, iPads, tablets, cameras, video cameras.
Lost item prevention: Please remind your athlete to secure their personal belongings inside their gym bag (and use the zipper) as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items. It is also highly recommended parents write their athlete’s name and team name on items so if we find it, we can get it returned to the athlete, athlete’s teammate, or team coach.
